Diagnosing a Fanuc Servo Module with Alarm 368, 369 or 466 on Installation

Applies to 0/16/18/21i

If the drive needs the software update, you will get alarm 368 or 369.


If you install the drive and get a 466 alarm, then change parameter 2165 to a zero for the axis or axis’ being controlled by that drive. This alarm occurs because the side card has been replaced.

Applies to 15i

If you install the drive and get a SV067 and a SV075 alarm, then change parameter 1788 to a zero for the axis or axis’ being controlled by that drive.

How to Change Parameter 2165 to Zero

Step 1

Turn on control.

Step 2

Put control in MDI mode.

Step 3

Press the offset/setting button to get to PWE.

Step 4

Put a “1” in PWE.  You should get a PWE alarm.

Step 5

Go to the parameter page.

Step 6

Go to parameter 2165.

Step 7

Write down what is in parameter 2165 for the axis that is alarming out in case you have to reinstall this parameter.

Step 8

Put a zero in 2165 of the axis that is alarming out.

Step 9

Change PWE back to a zero. Power machine down and up.

Step 10

The control should come up without any alarms.
